And although she's been diagnosed with both depression and anxiety, Linda doesn’t let this stop her from living the life God created for her!

Lynn fundraises to meet the needs of our clients and programs, co-ordinates special projects and events, and works closely with our Board members to build a strong, life-changing organization. She loves to see hope in the eyes and attitudes of people who donate. Lynn volunteered at the Lighthouse before being hired on staff because she has a heart for those in need in our community, and sharing the love and hope of Christ. When Lynn isn't pouring her time and resources into The Lighthouse, she recharges by spending time with family, her husband, 3 sons, daughter-in-law and her pup. She loves to sing, play the flute and Christmas is her absolute favourite time of year. Plus, she can't go a day without a good laugh! A good person to have around.

David plays an important role in operating our shelter on a daily basis, from serving meals on time to helping someone in a crisis take the next step. He's passionate about treating people with dignity and creating a safe place when someone needs it. When David is taking a break from keeping us organized at The Lighthouse, he loves to cook for friends and family, cast a line on the lake, or volunteer in the community.
Dennis has the important job of making sure every guest at the shelter has a safe, peaceful night's rest. He's passionate about getting to know guests that stay with us, and always has an ear to lend. The Lighthouse is thankful for him. For fun, Dennis likes to read fiction, enjoys manga and watching anime!
Tobey is a recent graduate of the Social Service Worker program at Georgian College. Tobey understands the struggles of living on a low income and how quickly circumstances can change in people's lives. Her goal is to provide the clients with the care and respect they deserve while assisting them with their needs, and working to make the shelter a safe and welcoming place. Tobey has 5 amazing children and 5 beautiful grandchildren, spending her spare time with family. When she's not with family or friends, she likes to keep busy restoring furniture and finds mother nature to be a great stress reliever – she also enjoys motorcycle rides in the country, fishing, boating and camping.
John cares about providing the best, most well-balanced breakfast he can for residents at the lighthouse. He serves overnight, and has the important role of care for the Lighthouse while others sleep. He makes sure that clients have clean laundry and a place to stay. On his own time, John has many hobbies and finds satisfaction in gardening, home renovations, playing with his labradoodle puppy "Miss Doofus II", tending to his bees, cooking and designing/building electric and acoustic guitars. He also has a love for skydiving, but his family convinced him that's a little inappropriate now. But who's to say?
Tobias is a soon-to-be social service worker graduate from Georgian College. He has been involved in various roles over the past 2 years: from a volunteer, to student, and now staff. Tobias has the natural ability to build positive relationships with both residents and community members that access our services. He is passionate about seeing people reach their full potential and has a keen interest in community safety and development.
Teresa has been serving at the Lighthouse for over 15 years. She leads the charge in the kitchen day in and day out, cooking for everyone that comes through our doors. She is also a Relief Shelter Worker, assisting with the shelter residents in the evenings. She loves the friendly relationships that begin to feel like family at the Lighthouse, many of the clients endearingly refer to her as "mom." Her passions line up with her role here, since cooking, helping others and talking to people are a few of her favourite things.
